In a move to strengthen the infrastructure and accessibility of golf in Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwe Golf Association has launched an equipment donation initiative targeted at supporting golf clubs in Harare and surrounding areas. The program aims to provide essential equipment such as golf carts, practice balls, and training aids to clubs that face challenges in maintaining adequate resources for their members and tournaments.

This initiative is part of the ZGA’s broader mission to promote golf at all levels, from grassroots participation to elite competition. By enhancing the capacity of local clubs, the association hopes to create more opportunities for youth engagement, player development, and community involvement.

Several clubs have already benefited from the first wave of donations, reporting improvements in training quality and tournament hosting capabilities. The ZGA plans to expand this program to additional regions in the coming months, with the goal of ensuring that golf facilities nationwide meet the standards necessary to grow the sport sustainably.

The association has also called on corporate partners and golf enthusiasts to contribute to this effort, emphasizing the collective responsibility to nurture the sport’s future in Zimbabwe. The equipment donation program underscores the ZGA’s proactive approach to overcoming challenges related to funding and infrastructure, positioning Zimbabwe golf for long-term success.
